On March 16, 2023, Mr. Donald Ingraham, and his special therapy dogs, received formal recognition from NMCCL's leaders during NMCCL's Patient Safety Fair. Mr. Ingram has been volunteering his time by visiting staff and patients weekly since March 2022. Therapy dog star, Beasley, an NMCCL staff favorite, even received her own "paw-some" NMCCL patch to wear on her vest.
Patient Safety Awareness Week is held each year to encourage all health care workers and patients to learn more about health care safety.
