Kyle Shattuck, a M249 gunner in 1st platoon, Charlie Company, 3rd Battalion, 172nd Infantry Regiment (Mountain), New Hampshire Army National Guard, zeroes an M4 carbine at the Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) April 1 at the New Hampshire National Guard Regional Training Institute in Center Strafford, N.H.
The EST is a virtual representation of a marksmanship range and all soldiers must complete this simulated training before completing their rifle qualification with live ammunition.
