The sun sets over the fuse gates in the spillway of Terminus Dam at Lake Kaweah in Tulare County, California, March 16, 2023, following a series of atmospheric rivers that filled the reservoir to its capacity at 185,630 acre-feet. The resulting spillway flow lasted about 36 hours and reached approximately 1,000 cubic feet per second at its peak. (Photo – Ryan Watson, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District/Released)
