230318-N-TL141-1011 BOSTON (March 18, 2023) – U.S. Navy Chief Special Warfare Combat Crewman Erik West, assigned to Naval Special Warfare Assessment Command (NSWAC), holds a musket on the deck of the frigate USS Constitution. NSWAC is the assessment and outreach arm if the Naval Special Warfare Center (NSWCEN). NSWCEN provides initial training to the SEAL and Special Warfare Combat Crewman communities. These communities support the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) mission, providing maritime special operations forces to conduct full spectrum operators, unilaterally or with partners, to support national objectives.
