ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 15, 2023) Gunnery Sgt. Ian Kubista, a native of Blooming Prarie, Minn., and Cpl. Dustin Modi, a native of Flat Rock, Mich., conduct phase maintenance on a AV-8B Harrier, assigned to Marine Medium Tilt Rotor Squadron (VMM) 162 (reinforced), in the aft hangar bay of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), April 15, 2023. Bataan is the flagship for Commander, Amphibious Squadron EIGHT (PHIBRON 8) and is currently underway for the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group and 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit exercise (ARGMEUEX). The exercise enhances joint integration, lethality and collective capabilities of the Navy-Marine Corps team through joint planning and execution of challenging and realistic training scenarios.
