Members assigned to the 56th CES EOD flight participated in exercise Furious Alpaca; a three-day exercise with the strategic objective of conducting operations in degraded environments alongside foreign forces against a near peer threat. The non-conductive probe allows EOD members to dig through soil that may contain improvised explosive devices without the risk of tripping circuits that could denotate them.
