FORT ALLEN, Juana Diaz- Around 80 soldiers graduated from the Basic Leader Course class 005-22 led by the 201st Regional Training Institute - RTI here, August 11-September 1.
Spc. Karla B. Rodriguez Villegas, was the distinguished honor graduate and was selected to cite the Non-Commissioned Officer Creed during the graduation ceremony.
BLC is the first course of leadership training. A month-long intensive course, where soldiers learn the fundamental skills needed to lead small groups of soldiers. This course is for specialist or corporal who wants to advance to the rank of sergeant.
As an organization made up of teams, the Army does all it can to create and empower leaders. Leadership courses give all Soldiers more opportunities to grow, succeed, and advance in rank.
