Command Sgt. Maj. Curtis Patrouille, Wisconsin’s state command sergeant major, addresses a room full of Soldiers at the Wisconsin Military Academy’s Daley Hall at Fort McCoy, Wis, Apr. 21, prior to the written essay event as part of the annual Wisconsin Army National Guard Best Warrior Competition. The competition is designed to recognize and reward Soldiers who demonstrate exceptional skills, leadership, and dedication through a variety of grueling tasks including a 12-mile road march, weapons qualifications, land navigation, and the Army Combat Fitness Test.
