U.S. Marines with the 26th Marine Expeditionary unit watch over the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) while conducting a Defense of the Amphibious Task Force (DATF) drill onboard a UH-1Y Venom during Amphibious Ready Group/MEU Exercise (ARGMEUEX) while underway in the Atlantic Ocean, Apr. 26, 2023. DATF integrates Marine Corps and Navy capabilities, including aircraft, crew-served weapon systems, snipers and electronic warfare, to defend the ships in a wide range of combat situations.
