Marines assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit complete a small arms live fire exercise on the flight deck of multipurpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7). Iwo Jima, the flagship of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group with the embarked 24th MEU, is currently deployed to support maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
