An SH-60B from the Warlords of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Light (HSL) 51 sits chocked and chained aboard the forward deployed Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Cowpens (CG 63) while the ship is underway at night. Cowpens is part of the George Washington Carrier Strike Group, the US Navy's only continuously forward deployed carrier strike group based out of Yokosuka, Japan, and is currently conducting a routine Western Pacific patrol in support of regional security and stability of the vital Asia-Pacific region.
