FORT CHAFFEE, Ark.-- Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 153rd Infantry Regiment, 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, conduct intensive Improvised Explosive Device (IED) training through the Asymmetric Threat Training Center, May 13, 2023.
The Asymmetric Threat Training Center, located at Fort Chaffee, Ar, provides training, equipment, and advice to military units preparing to deploy to areas with asymmetric threats. Their training programs are designed to enable Soldiers to engage with the challenges of asymmetric warfare effectively. Asymmetric threats use unconventional tactics, strategies, and weapons not commonly used by traditional military forces, such as IEDs.
Through hands-on field exercises, including mounted operations and detection simulated IED detection, Missouri and Arkansas National Guardsman enhance their capabilities as individuals and teams before deployment.
