VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia (12 May 2023) Sailors assigned to Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron TWO’s (MSRON TWO) Alpha, Bravo, and Medical Company complete the capstone event of the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Tier2 (Combat Lifesaver) training and certifications onboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story. The TCCC Tier-2 certification is primarily for designated non-medical personnel tasked to provide additional medical support within their units during operations in austere environments. Combat Lifesavers are medical force multipliers in the absence of a Corpsman, able to identify and treat traumatic injuries using more advanced techniques with limited resources.
