NAVAL STATION MAYPORT, Fla. – (May 19, 2023) – Yeoman 1st Class Evan Seller (right-of-center), assigned to U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet (USNAVSOUTH/FOURTHFLT), is awarded the Inter-American Naval Telecommunications Network (IANTN) medal for his support and promotion of the network’s mission at Naval Station Mayport, Fla., May 19, 2023. Seller is the first person outside of the IANTN Secretariat to receive the award and 14th U.S. recipient ever. Established in 1962, IANTN’s mission is to maintain a permanent link among naval authorities of the Americas. U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command hosts the multi-national IANTN staff, which oversees IANTN detachments and operations centers in 18 partner nations in the Caribbean, Central and South America. USNAVSOUTH/FOURTHFLT is the trusted maritime partner for Caribbean, Central and South America maritime forces leading to improved unity, security and stability.
