U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Morgan Alexander, a career counselor assigned to 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, poses for a photograph on Fort Riley, Kansas, May 23, 2023.

“The advice I can give to Soldiers going overseas for the first time is to really embrace their surroundings and try new things,” said Alexander, who spent time serving in South Korea. “Nowhere is like the United States, especially if you’re going somewhere while in the Army so always be looking for an adventure because they are definitely out there.”
