FORT RILEY, Kan. – During a Drone Familiarization Training, Fort Riley Fire and Emergency Services personnel practiced using the thermal sensor on the new DoD approved Unmanned Aerial System. This capability will make missions such as searching for a lost hiker or observing wildfire patterns more efficient. Fort Riley is the first army installation to have these capabilities in the Fire and Emergency Services Department. (U.S. Army Photo by Jennifer “JJ” James, Fort Riley Public Affairs Office)
