ATLANTIC OCEAN (May 31, 2023) Lt. Abigail Rouser, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Porter (DDG 78), leads a discussion on “Warrior Toughness” during a Mental Health Awareness Month observation, May 31, 2023. During the observation, a day of rest for the crew, Porter Sailors participated in a variety of exercises and discussions about mental health, and had the opportunity to participate in a “Steel Beach Picnic” and swim call on the flight deck. Porter is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by the U.S. Sixth Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
