U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer Brandon Delgado, an HH-60M Blackhawk pilot for the 1-111th Aviation Regiment, 78th Aviation Troop Command, Georgia Army National Guard, goes through preflight inspections prior to taking command of the aircraft during Exercise African Lion 23, at Inezgane Airfield, June 9, 2023. The 1-111th is currently participating in Exercise African Lion 2023 and providing aviation and MEDEVAC support necessary to ensure the safety and well being of all participants. Eighteen nations and approximately 8,000 personnel will participate in AL23, U.S. Africa Command's largest annual combined, joint exercise that will take place in Ghana, Morocco, Senegal and Tunisia from May 13-June 18, 2023.
