    Frank Davis (back row, far left) was a shop foreman on Rock Island Arsenal in Illinois and a member of the Channon-Davis Family, who have served as Army civilians on RIA for five generations. He is the brother of Lee Roy Davis, who served as the Arsenal's liaison officer in Washington, D.C. during World War I. They are both the grandchildren of William Channon, the first Arsenal employee who started working on the the island as a builder in 1863. (Courtesy photo)
