U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Faustino GarciaSilva, the unit movement control center chief, with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal by Lt. Gen. David Ottignon, Commanding General of II Marine Expeditionary Force, on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, June 16, 2023. The Marines and Sailors of the 26th MEU Marine Air-Ground Task Force came together to celebrate and recognize their perseverance and diligence during an enhanced nine-month pre-deployment training program. The event was a reminder of the importance of teamwork and the value of hard work, serving as a source of inspiration for the Marines and Sailors to continue to strive for excellence in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
