230609-N-SE686-1002 MCAS IWAKUNI, Japan (Jun. 9, 2023) Equipment Operator 2nd Class Clayton Kreitler, assigned to assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, and Constructionman Gabriel Eller, assigned to NMCB 3, complete turnover with NMCB 5 by placing the final Battalion Equipment Evaluation Program stickers on the CS56 Roller establishing completion of Detail Iwakuni turnover. NMCB 3 is forward deployed throughout the Indo-Pacific region and United States territories to support and maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific. As the stand-in, crisis response, naval engineering force, NMCB 3 maintains a ready posture to deliver in-theater expeditionary logistics via expeditionary shore infrastructure, forward damage repair, and mobile construction.
