U.S. Soldiers, their families, and German nationals competed in a sautrog (pig trough) race tournament during the annual Fischerfest (Fisherman’s festival) in Grafenwoehr, Germany, June 24, 2023. The sautrog race is a Bavarian tradition in which teams of two race against each other in the water using paddles, pig troughs, and any means necessary to win in the friendly competition.
