The 1st Battalion, 64th Armored Regiment, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division memorial stone at Cashe Garden stands in honor of the soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in both the Korean war and World War II at Fort Stewart, Georgia, July, 23, 2023. Sgt. 1st Class Alwyn C. Cashe earned his medal of honor after he retrieved six Soldiers and an Iraqi interpreter from a burning Bradley fighting vehicle, which was struck by an improvised explosive device.Cashe received burns on nearly 72% of his body.
