230617-N-ZZ999-1002 PALAWAN, Philippines (June 17, 2023) Builder 2nd Class Reuben Crosno, from Clovis, Calif., left, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, and F2BU Boco, of the Philippine Navy 3rd Naval Combat Engineer Battalion, ensure the markings for the stringline layout are accurate before beginning to excavate for a schoolhouse foundation in Brooke’s Point, Palawan. Together, this multinational team will deliver two new classrooms to a much-deserving community and build interoperability of their engineering capabilities. NMCB 3 is forward-deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction for the U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection. The battalion stands ready to complete assigned tasking, support humanitarian aid/disaster relief, and major combat operations throughout the area of operations.
