ATLANTIC OCEAN (July 13, 2023) Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Emmanuel Morgan, assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) Deck Department, communicates with line handlers on the Henry J. Kaiser-class replenishment oiler USNS John Lenthall (T-AO 189) during a fueling-at-sea evolution as part of a scheduled deployment. The U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps routinely participate in scheduled deployments to improve combined combat readiness, increase operational capacity, and strengthen relationships among allies and partners throughout the region.
