    230715-N-MD461-1061 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 15, 2023) Aviation Structural Mechanic 2nd Class Dustin Poore, a native of Conroe, Texas, assigned to the “Black Knights” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 4, conducts maintenance on an MH-60S Sea Hawk in the hangar bay of Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 1’s flagship, is underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations. Integrated exercises prepare our Sailors to respond quickly. U.S. 3rd Fleet works in close coordination with other numbered fleets to provide commanders with capable, ready forces to deploy forward and win in day-to-day competition, in crisis, and in conflict.
