    230721-N-MD461-1047 PACIFIC OCEAN (July 21, 2023) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Ramon Boldon, a native of Guyton, Georgia, tows an EA-18G Growler, assigned to the “Gauntlets” of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 136, onto an aircraft elevator from the hangar bay of Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 1’s flagship, is underway conducting routine operations in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations. Integrated exercises prepare our Sailors to respond quickly. U.S. 3rd Fleet works in close coordination with other numbered fleets to provide commanders with capable, ready forces to deploy forward and win in day-to-day competition, in crisis, and in conflict.
