U.S. Navy Sailors assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA-6), help Gunnery Sgt. Joshua Heins, the communication strategy and operations chief of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, suit up for a sumo wrestling competition aboard the USS America, in the Coral Sea, June 30, 2023. Heins would go on to take first place in the competition, beating out fellow Marines and Sailors. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
