Arnold Air Force Base Fire and Emergency Services Assistant Fire Chief Jim Evans demonstrates the LUCAS 3 Chest Compression System July 17, 2023, at Arnold AFB, Tenn. Arnold FES was able to acquire two of the automated CPR devices through Arnold Engineering Development Complex Spark Tank funding the department received earlier this year. Arnold AFB is the headquarters of AEDC. The LUCAS 3 is designed to deliver uninterrupted chest compressions at a consistent rate and depth, whether in the field, during transport and throughout arrival to the hospital.
