Guam (August 02, 2023) - Electronic Technician 1st Class Corey Nettles, assigned to the Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Manchester (LCS 14), asks Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) James Honea a question during in all hands call onboard Naval Base Guam, Aug. 2, 2023. Honea answered questions and discussed his priorities of warfighting competency, professional, character development, and quality of life. Manchester, part of Destroyer Squadron 7, is on a rotational deployment operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with Allies and partners and serve as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
