Guam (August 02, 2023) - Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) James Honea answers a question from Mineman 1st Class Christian Kantowski, assigned to the Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Manchester (LCS 14), onboard Naval Base Guam, Aug. 2, 2023. Honea answered questions and discussed his priorities of warfighting competency, professional, character development, and quality of life. Manchester, part of Destroyer Squadron 7, is on a rotational deployment operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with Allies and partners and serve as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
