A UH-60 Black Hawk assigned to the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade lands during a nighttime exfiltration at Rodriguez Live-fire Range, near Pocheon, ROK, concluding a realistic personnel recovery training scenario on Aug. 4, 2023. A combined special operations forces team with the ROK Special Warfare Command and U.S. Special Operations Command Korea demonstrated their ability to rapidly infiltrate a contested urban environment and rescue a simulated pilot in need of recovery. Personnel with the two commands regularly train together, learn from each other, and realistically test their ability to respond to dynamic scenarios in support of both nations’ defense priorities.
