U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lt. Anthony Viteri, a combat engineer officer with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 271, briefs Marines with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 461 at Marine Corps Outlying Landing Field Oak Grove, North Carolina, Aug. 13, 2023. MWSS-271 and HMH-461 took part in Large Scale Exercise 2023, a globally integrated exercise designed to refine the synchronization of maritime operations across multiple fleets in support of the joint force. The training was based on a progression of scenarios that will assess and refine modern warfare concepts.
