U.S. Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 272 and U.S. Navy Sailors with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 11 prepare to pour concrete into a crater during airfield damage repair operations at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, North Carolina, Aug. 12, 2023. MWSS-272 took part in Large Scale Exercise 2023, a globally integrated exercise designed to refine the synchronization of maritime operations across multiple fleets in support of the joint force. The training was based on a progression of scenarios that will assess and refine modern warfare concepts.
