Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command biologists and volunteers pose for a picture in Yigo, Guam, Aug. 18, 2023. Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, is home to one of the last bat colonies on Guam. Every year Airmen, their families and other local organizations are separated into teams on various locations across Andersen AFB. The volunteers then record how many and what flight direction. If another station sees a bat that could be considered on another bat's flight path, it is counted as the same bat. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Pedro Tenorio)
