U.S. Marine Corps 1st Sgt. Alex Ramirez, the senior enlisted advisor for Weapons Company, Battalion Landing Team 2/1, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, instructs during a tomorrow’s enlisted advisors and mentors (T.E.A.M.) class aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) in the Philippine Sea, Aug. 19, 2023. The TEAM training is a proactive approach to produce leaders for tomorrow’s non-linear confrontation by creating a curriculum that teaches the hidden movements that are related to each rank as a Marine progress in their career. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of USS America Amphibious Ready Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
