Marines with Bravo Company, 3rd Assault Amphibian Battalion, make an amphibious landing on Camp Pendleton’s Red Beach during the commencement of Exercise Steel Knight, Dec. 10, 2012. Steel Knight is an annual exercise designed to train and prepare the 1st Marine Division for deployment as the ground combat element of a Marine Air-Ground Task Force. The focus of the exercise is to ensure that 1st Marine Division is fully prepared to deploy as an expeditionary force across the full spectrum of military operations and is capable of responding to any crisis around the world.
