U.S. Marine Corps aircraft attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 165 (Reinforced), 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, are placed in a hangar at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Arizona, to shelter from Tropical Storm Hillary while supporting the 15th MEU’s Realistic Urban Training exercise, Aug. 19, 2023. The 15th MEU planned and executed a destructive weather mitigation plan to protect personnel and equipment from the storm and resumed normal training operations after the inclement weather subsided. RUT is a shore-based, MEU-level exercise that provides an opportunity to train and execute operations as a Marine Air-Ground Task Force in urban environments. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
