NAVAL SUPPORT ACTIVITY SOUDA BAY, Greece (Aug. 31, 2023)
A C-2A Greyhound assigned to Detachment Two of the Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 40 bound for USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) departs Naval Support Activity (NSA) Souda Bay to perform a carrier onboard delivery, Aug. 31, 2023. With the support of NSA Souda Bay’s Air Cargo Services department and Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Sigonella, Site Souda Bay, a remotely-located logistics detachment assigned to the ship operated from NSA Souda Bay, Aug. 16 to Sept. 9, 2023, as a logistical staging location for carrier onboard deliveries of materials, supplies, mail and personnel. NSA Souda Bay is an operational ashore installation which enables and supports U.S., Allied, Coalition, and Partner nation forces to preserve security and stability in the European, African, and Central Command areas of responsibility.
