U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 1437th Multi-Role Bridge Company, Sault Saint Marie, and Chinooks from B. Co., 3rd Battalion, 238th Aviation Regiment, both Michigan National Guard, sling load improved ribbon bridge bays for arial delivery and raft construction during exercise Operation Safe Harbor, Mackinac, Mich. September 7, 2023. Operation Safe Harbor 23 is the first ever exercise of this type to be executed in Michigan. The exercise included 18 emergency response partners included FEMA, Michigan State Police, Mackinac County Sheriff's Department, the U.S. Coast Guard, and more.
