Maj. Jude C. Shell, left, and Col. Mark J. Menotti, right, brief Lt. Gen. Terry G. Robling Dec. 14 on cumulative statistics of U.S. government support to Philippine-led humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations during Robling’s visit at Villamor Air Base in Manila, Republic of the Philippines. Shell and Menotti informed Robling that Marines have transported more than 445,000 pounds of relief supplies to regions affected by Typhoon Pablo for further distribution by Philippine Government and nongovernmental organizations. Shell is the intelligence officer and acting executive officer with the III Marine Expeditionary Force Forward Command Element, which is providing coordination and command and control of Marine Corps support to relief efforts. Menotti is officer in charge of the III MEF FCE. Robling is the commanding general of Marine Corps Forces Pacific.
