Service members and veterans from multiple nations, including the United States, the Netherlands, South Africa and Germany, conducted an airborne operation for the commemoration of the 79th anniversary of Operation Market Garden in Vehgel, Netherlands, September 14, 2023.
During the jump, a paratrooper from the Netherlands, that passed away earlier this year, was honored and Parachute Group Holland presented his family members with jump wings.
Operation Market Garden was an Airborne Operation that took place in the Netherlands during World War II and is remembered in the Netherlands today, not only as a commemoration for those who fought and died, but also as a celebration of the liberation of the Netherlands that came about during the months following Operation Market Garden.
