DJIBOUTI, Djibouti (August 30, 2023) The Italian Navy held a tour of the Italian Navy guided-missile destroyer Luigi Durand De la Penne (DDG560), for U.S. service members deployed to Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, August 30. Italian service members aboard the DDG560 used this port visit as an opportunity to engage with U.S. partner forces and increase interoperability. CLDJ is an operational installation that enables U.S., allied, and partner nation forces to be where and when they are needed to ensure security in Europe, Africa, and Southwest Asia.
