Treating and teaching: SC combat medics use Smart Dummies to conduct training

Sgt. Victor Barrington, of Clio, S.C., applies a tourniquet to a simulated casualty during combat lifesaver re-certification in the Medical Simulation Training Center at Camp Buehring, Kuwait. Barrington belongs to Alpha Company, 4th Battalion, 118th Infantry Regiment, South Carolina Army National Guard. Combat medics of the 4th Battalion used the MSTC to re-certify 141 of the battalion's combat lifesavers. The battalion assumed security force and camp operations missions in northern Kuwait in April, and is now in the process of heading home.
