U.S. Navy Senior Chief Alfredo Medina, Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) senior enlisted advisor, watches members of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Joint Service Color Guard practice during the National POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony hosted by the DPAA at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii, Sept. 15, 2023. The ceremony included presenting wreaths from various organizations in honor of prisoners of war and missing-in-action service members and reading the list of names of those who were positively identified during the past year. Over 300 U.S. military service members, former prisoners of war, families and veterans attended the ceremony to commemorate service members and families who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
