A dedication carved into the wall of the Courts of the Missing is shown during the National POW/MIA Recognition Day Ceremony hosted by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii, Sept. 15, 2023. The ceremony included presenting wreaths from various organizations in honor of prisoners of war and missing-in-action service members and reading the list of names of those who were positively identified during the past year. There are approximately 73 previously unaccounted-for service members whose families were notified that they were positively identified during the past year.
