Steve Balcerzak, lead engineering technician for the Corona Division Product Engineering Assessment Department at the Naval Surface Warfare Center and Andrew McKelroy, a CSC engineering technician, assemble a Griffin missile launcher. In partnership with NSWC Dahlgren as design agent, the Navy Gage and Standards Lab machine shop at NSWC Corona took only five weeks to manufacture the launcher for the Griffin, a laser-guided shipboard missile intended for use against fast-moving small craft.
