U.S. Army Capabilities Command demonstrated the effective capabilities of the R400 Remote Weapon Station (RWS) with XM914 30mm cannon engaging adversary Unmanned Aerial Systems during Red Sands 23.2 Live Fire Exercise. Red Sands 23.2 is a live fire counter-small Unmanned Aerial Systems exercise conducted by the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces and U.S. Army Central. This bilateral exercise at the Shamal-2 Range in northeastern Saudi Arabia is the second iteration of the Red Sands Integrated Experimentation Center (IEC) concept, a forum to test and field counter-UAS systems and implement best practices to optimize interoperability between partners and systems. The first iteration of this concept was conducted in March 2023. (Photo by Sgt. Christian Cote)
