Technical Sergeant Jennifer Yang, 163rd Attack Wing, March Air Force Base, Non-commissioned Officer In Charge of Emergency Management Plans Project for Innovative Readiness Training’s KEMA Shelters Mission, educates distinguished guests and members of IRT during a briefing at Kauai Emergency Management Agency for the Emergency Operations Plan Re-Write and Hurricane Shelters Assessment project, Kauai, Hawaii, September 14th, 2023. During this project, Air National Guard Emergency Management, in partnership with KEMA, re-wrote the county’s EOP, bringing it up to State and Federal standards, along with ANG’s Civil Engineers having conducted structural assessments of multiple public buildings and schools throughout Kauai County. Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) is a Department of Defense military training opportunity, exclusive to the United States and its territories, that delivers joint training opportunities to increase deployment readiness. Simultaneously, IRT provides key services (health care, construction, transportation, and cybersecurity) with lasting benefits for our American communities.
