U.S. Marine Cpl. Osman Chaudhry, a percussionist musician with the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band, based in Havelock, N.C., explains the nature of his job to band students at Prescott High School in Prescott, Ariz., Dec. 18, 2012. Chaudhry, a native of nearby Phoenix, enlisted into the Marine Corps in 2009 through the Musician Enlisted Option Program (MEOP), a program which provides an applicant the opportunity to serve their country both as a musician and a warrior. "I'm telling them about my personal experiences, the opportunities, what it's been like," said Chaudhry. "Sometimes it can feel like the hardest thing explaining what it means to be a Marine to someone who is not familiar and has no affiliation, but all I have to do is just start talking about the Marine Corps – our experiences, our history, our proud traditions – it explains itself."
